President Cheryl's Message
Hi everyone
Another fascinating history lesson this last week. The volunteers of the Pleasant Point rail restoration project should be justifiably proud of their achievements. Our Emma’s dad has an exhibition that has just opened at the Aigantighe. Make sure you get along and check it out over the next week or so.
This week is our meet and greet evening. A good time to bring potential members to meet us. Don’t be shy!
See you Tuesday
Yours aye
Cheryl

Illuminate Show Thank You
THANK YOU!
A massive big thank you to all our volunteers who participated in the Illumine Light and Sound Experience last week. It was such a wonderful event to be part of and it gave our club huge exposure within our local community. We had a lot of people reach out to us during the event via social media and through individual club members, often thinking we were selling tickets too!
It was a fantastic low-cost event for people/families of our district to attend and it was such fun to be part of the experience. I think anyone who went through the show would agree with me when I say, I really hope they get the approval to run it again next year!
Thanks again to our volunteers; Ian Grey, Jenny and Basil Ensor, Julie and Guy Dockrill, Lynette and Lionel Wilson, Bev Slooten, Stephen Don, Ian Behrnes, Emma Walton-Woodings, Melissa and Greg Sugrue, Robin Peterson, Mike Parr, Ian Behrnes and me!
Refer below to see some photos of our team & the event

Illuminate Show
There were seven Rotarians & partners assisting with erecting one of the light tunnels on Sunday 21st May at the botanical gardens & over the four evenings (Thursday - Sunday) thirteen helped with roving patrols around the event, scanning the pre-sold tickets & door sales along with manning our table.
We have been asked to provide volunteers for their Annual Appeal on Friday 16 June between 9 am and 6 pm. Please click here to email me and let me know if you can put in some time, and which part of the day you would be available.
Thanks
Cheryl
Jess's Call For Someone to Pick Up Some Bags For Woodcutting Project Answered
Earlier in the week Jess sent out an email asking if anyone could go & pick up some bags from a farmer in Albury for use by the woodcutting project.
Jim Garden answered the call and went out in his van

Thank you Jim –
Upcoming HDV Event
Save the date!
We have an upcoming HDV event with a slight difference! We will be operating the HDV along with a BBQ for the Aspect Trust Fundraising Tug of War event.
The event will be held at the Morgans Road Indoor Stadium, Saturday 26th August (during the evening) and we will be the food vendor where ticket holders can redeem their tickets for some snacks from us, as well as selling food if they are still hungry!
Details and times etc will be finalised closer to the time but I will be looking for both BBQ people and HDV workers for the event. The roster has been updated on the website so you can add your name if you are free on the evening (by clicking here...).
Let me know if you have any issues getting into the roster.
Many Thanks
Jess
Information Required
Remember this is "your" bulletin and so please email information to me on what your committee is doing (or planning) so everyone can be aware of it.
Lack of the above will mean the bulletin is not advising the members of what is happening in the club & particapation will be down.
