Thanks to King Street Motors for carrying out a Warrant of Fitness inspection of the Hot Dog Caravan at no cost to the Club, and then carrying out some maintenance work, again at no cost to the Club.  What great support of our efforts for the community.

Rotary Foundation Recognition Dinner

A reminder to all D9999 Rotarians – you are invited to meet Past International Rotary president and current Rotary Foundation Chair Barry Rassin at the upcoming Rotary Foundation Recognition Dinner with to be held on 2 November 2023 at the Commodore Hotel Christchurch.  With your help we can make this a very memorable night, Clubs please consider booking a table.

This will be an opportunity to meet with and learn about the Foundations focus for the next few years and to support Barry as The Foundation acknowledges your fellow Rotarians in our District who have committed to be either Major Donors or Bequest Society Members. Winchester Day Out SUNDAY 8th OCTOBER
 
On Sunday 8 October at 2pm, we visit Dave Woodings (Emma's Dad) at his Winchester Art Gallery on State Highway 1 (155 Temuka-Orari Highway). Following the visit, we will have afternoon tea at Mia Flora Cafe.

Temuka-Geraldine Rotary Club Big Day Out 

 
To celebrate its 75th anniversary, the Temuka-Geraldine Rotary Club is hosting a 'Big Day Out'
in Geraldine on Saturday 28th of October.

DUNEDIN HARBOUR CYCLE TRIP

The Social Committee is working on a trip to Dunedin to cycle the recently opened loop track around Dunedin Harbour. 
We're looking forward to your company!!!! Main requirement at this stage would be to get your posterior used to a bike seat.
 
We are planning to drive to Dunedin on 5 Nov, complete the trail 6 Nov and come home the same day. 
  • It's flat
  • It won't be a race 
  • It's a dedicated cycle trail
  • Dunedin to Portobello 18.50 km
  • Boat across the harbour (takes electric and normal bikes)
  • Port Chalmers to Dunedin 13.40 km
  • If you only wanted to bike part of it, that could be sorted
We would need to know the numbers in October to book the boat. The boat is the only limiting factor. It can make multiple trips if necessary

Wood Cutting Working Bee 
 
The next kindling Working Bee is on Saturday 30th of September, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon.
 
The location of our firewood shed is Store No 2, 125 Hayes Street, Timaru
