President Cheryl's Message

Hi everyone

Another great presentation from William Rolleston last week.  Such a successful scientific facility in our backyard putting South Canterbury on the global map.  Always delighted to host our Ashburton Rotarians at our club as well.

This week is our chat week, we will take a bit longer so Jess can brief us on Clubrunner and remind us of what it offers for us as individual Rotarians.  Click here for a briefing note put together by John Barton in case you’ve never accessed it and/or forgotten how to.

See you Tuesday

Yours aye
Cheryl

Upcoming HDV Event

Save the date!
We have an upcoming HDV event with a slight difference! We will be operating the HDV along with a BBQ for the Aspect Trust Fundraising Tug of War event.

The event will be held at the Morgans Road Indoor Stadium, Saturday 26th August (during the evening) and we will be the food vendor where ticket holders can redeem their tickets for some snacks from us, as well as selling food if they are still hungry!

Details and times etc will be finalised closer to the time but I will be looking for both BBQ people and HDV workers for the event.  The roster has been updated on the website so you can add your name if you are free on the evening (by clicking here...).
Let me know if you have any issues getting into the roster.

Many Thanks
Jess

An Evening At The Movies

Lionel is endeavouring to organise a trip to a movie at Movie Max - possibly on a Tuesday evening (instead of having a 'Meet & Greet night at TTCC) in May or June.
Anyone who is interested is asked to check the 'Coming Soon' movies on the 'Movie Max Digital' website by clicking here... & emailing Lionel of any they would be interested in attending by clicking here...

SCDL - Captain Cain

The Little Theatre's latest show ('Captain Cain') is the story of Timaru's early years (to view more information click here...).

Captain Cain, whose statue sits outside the Landing Services building, is fondly known as 'the father of Timaru'. Extensive research over the last 20 years has enabled Carol Angland to dramatise the early years of European settlement in South Canterbury.

I am organising for us to attend on Tuesday 23rd May @ 7:30 pm (which is one of our meeting nights with no guest speaker) f you would like to attend, please email me ASAP by clicking here... - so I can block-book our tickets.

Tickets are $20 each if we can get 20 seats sold.

This may be a popular show (as written by a local & about a subject close to the hearts of many), please reply promptly so we don't miss out.
Regards
Tony

Information Required

Remember this is "your" bulletin and so please email information to me on what your committee is doing (or planning) so everyone can be aware of it.
Lack of the above will mean the bulletin is not advising the members of what is happening in the club & particapation will be down.
