It would seem this is a popular time for travel, we have quite a few members either just returning from overseas or ready to depart to warmer climates for the winter holidays or family catchups, as well as some ready to welcome their family as they return for visits. We are so lucky to be able to enjoy making travel plans again, mind you, not much to complain about for us in Timaru, here we are on the shortest day, still enjoying some sunshine and the garden has no idea what season it is, with spring flowers blossoming.
This week we held the 'Annual Meeting' of the Charitable Trust on Sunday, this was the last meeting for Ashley Milliken as he has fulfilled his two years as Trustee, as has John Barton, both of whom have contributed wisely, and their input has been greatly valued and appreciated. They will be ably replaced by Greg Sugrue & Robin Peterson.
At the 'Annual General Meeting' of the Club on Tuesday evening, we confirmed the appointment of Jenny Ensor and Emma Walton-Woodings as Directors and we wished Ian Behrnes well as he retires, following many years of valuable service to our club. We have yet to fill the position of President-Elect for 2024-2025.
Planning is taking shape for what we hope will be an eventful year ahead.
Just prior to the start of our meeting Greg Sugrue received confirmation of the sale of the house he and Melissa have owned for 15 years, so we know what they will be doing for the next few weeks!! Shifting…. Good luck.
Please remember to RSVP to your invitation to join us for “Thanksgiving dinner”/Changeover on 4th July, advising your choice of menu prior to Wednesday 28th June.
Stay warm and travel safe!
Lynette Wilson
President-elect
