DUNEDIN HARBOUR CYCLE TRIP
The Social Committee is working on a trip to Dunedin to cycle the recently opened loop track around Dunedin Harbour.
We're looking forward to your company!!!! Main requirement at this stage would be to get your posterior used to a bike seat.
We are planning to drive to Dunedin on 5 Nov, complete the trail 6 Nov and come home the same day.
It's flat
It won't be a race
It's a dedicated cycle trail
Dunedin to Portobello 18.50 km
Boat across the harbour (takes electric and normal bikes)
Port Chalmers to Dunedin 13.40 km
If you only wanted to bike part of it, that could be sorted
We would need to know the numbers in October to book the boat. The boat is the only limiting factor. It can make multiple trips if necessary
Bruce, Lance, Ian or Jenny are happy to answer any questions.

THE CASE OF THE MISSING TOMAHAWK
At 11:55 am on Saturday 30 September, a missing tomahawk report was filed with the Bulletin Police.
After a thorough search of the property at Shed 2, 125 Hayes Street, Timaru, it was ascertained that a dust-covered Rotarian was the likely culprit of the brazen tomahawk robbery.
The Bulletin Police are calling for any witnesses to come forward with any information or descriptions of the culprit.
Please send your information to the head of the investigation Superintendent Jim Garden. He will be able to discuss and advise as to the description, make and model of the tomahawk as he is a longtime friend of the now missing tomahawk.
The Bulletin Police want to thank you for your assistance with this matter.
UPDATE 21:00Hrs. After hours of scouring around the homes of Timaru, many emails of potential sightings of the missing tomahawk, and the offering of K9 sniffer assistance, the Bulletin Police can now confirm that the missing tomahawk has been located.
The culprit has come forward and admitted a case of mistaken tomahawk identity.
As this was not a case of intentional unlawful possession, simply a case of needing to clean one’s glasses, the Bulletin Police will not be pressing charges. The offending culprit will be returning the tomahawk to its lawful owner in the very near future.
You call all rest easy and enjoy your weekend knowing that your tomahawks are now safe in the garden shed.
The Bulletin Police thank you all for your assistance in the matter.
VICTIM STATEMENT: 1st Oct 9 am. What an outstanding result from your investigative journalism you are up there with Morse and Frost. Thank you for your attention to tracking down the priceless item as I have a sleepless night worrying that I may not see it again. I am deeply indebted to you for your following up on my beloved tomahawk. Superintendent Jim
