 President Lynette's Message

Hi everyone,

It was lovely to start the meeting this week with the induction of Gilly Oppenheim and Robin Peterson, both of whom have been members of our Club previously, and Robin is also a member of our Charitable Trust.

We also completed part two of our club forum, Mike Parr had collated the results from the previous meeting, and Jenny Ensor presented these and led the discussion.  There was some interesting revelations and many ideas put forward for consideration and follow-up.  Thank you everyone, your input is invaluable and very much appreciated.

Thank you to those who have notified Greg Sugrue of your preferred roster times for Colourfest, Illuminate and construction of the Light Tunnel, if you haven’t notified a time yet, please consider and let Greg know.  Also, thanks to those who have entered themselves on the Hot Dog roster for 6th April, at the Swap Meet at Orari racecourse. We are still looking for a money person for the 1st shift - if you can help please head to the roster.

I attended two Zoom meetings, one on Public Image and the other on Club Regionalization, both making sure we are well informed and using the correct logos etc.

RYDA is scheduled for 11th April – another date for the diary if you can assist – once again, notify Greg.
Saturday 13th April is our next “Kindling wood” working bee, this will be followed by a “tasting” and food with our “Brewer” Gary Rushworth - more details to come, but please pencil it in your rapidly filling diary.
Saturday 20th April is D9999 District Conference in Christchurch – to date we have three members attending, but it is not too late to register – registrations close Tuesday 2nd April.
April is such a busy month, with something happening for everyone to participate in – no room for boredom.

This was a momentous week also for me, as Thursday was my last day at work, I am now “retired” and looking forward to a change of pace, there are many boxes waiting for ticks, so the list starts now!  A family trip to Warbirds over Wanaka this weekend is the start.

Looking forward to catching up with you all again on April 9th.
Lynette
