President Cheryl's Message.

Hi everyone

I’m not hot on history but our speaker from the museum, curator Chris Rapley, brought it alive. Great talk. I don’t know what you thought were the important items to retain and exhibit but I didn’t put the 1950s freezing worker boots on the list. Exactly why I'm not a museum curator!

Next week we’re having a workshop led by Jess and Tony. Make sure you participate either at the meeting or by putting your comments in the chat on zoom. This is your club and we want it to reflect your ideas. Which reminds me, no feedback yet on what you would like in your newsletter. And a reminder to those who weren’t on zoom a couple of weeks ago, we are starting the formal part of the meeting at 6.30 each meeting.

Yours aye
Cheryl

BULLETIN REVIEW.

It’s a while since we reviewed our bulletin content.  Stephen does a great job pulling it together each week.  I know it’s sometimes a struggle for him to get items from us.  I think we need to pick up our game in that regard.  So - I’m looking for feedback since it is your bulletin.  What do you like about it, what would you like to see that isn’t there, and what can be improved.  Email me your responses (cheryl-is@hotmail.com) then Stephen and I can work on your suggestions.

Thanks much
Cheryl

Information Required.

Remember this is "your" bulletin and so please email information to me on what your committee is doing (or planning) so everyone can be aware of it.
Lack of the above will mean the bulletin is not advising the members of what is happening in the club & particapation will be down.
Stephen

Editors Humour.

a woman's husband talks in his sleep. Unfortunately, he also snores, so she sometimes gives him the wifely elbow. "What?!" he demanded one night, still mostly asleep. "Turn over—you're snoring," she said. He did as instructed and while doing so muttered, "That's nothing; you should hear my wife snore."

A man stopped off at the supermarket to buy his son-in-law his favourite pie, sour cream raisin. The box had the $15 price stamped on the top, which he thought would be tacky on a gift, so he asked the man behind the counter for a marker to black out the price. Didn't work—you could still see the price through the ink.
"I know what to do," the man said. "I'll cover it up."And with that, he slapped a sticker over the price that read "$2.98 Day Old."

A patient came to the hospital with a burned right hand. As the doctor took down his medical history, he asked the injured man, "Do you smoke?"

"Yeah, a pack and a half a day," said the patient. Concerned, the doctor told him, "You should consider quitting." "No, it's OK," said the patient. "I smoke with my left hand."
