THANK YOU KING STREET MOTORS
Thanks to King Street Motors for carrying out a Warrant of Fitness inspection of the Hot Dog Caravan at no cost to the Club, and then carrying out some maintenance work, again at no cost to the Club. What great support of our efforts for the community.
Members might like to return the favour by supporting King Street Motors; you'll find them at 143 King Street.

President Andrea's Message.
As Paul so rightly put it "we don't know what is in our own backyard".
Herman Frank's passion for photography has led him on an amazing adventure of the Lime Stone Formations in and around South Canterbury. To see how he knows using his skills to both photograph and protect our native flora and wildlife is wonderful. I'm amazed at how many species of plants and animals are barely existing in South Canterbury. I was not aware of how bad the situation has got. I'm pleased he is out there searching, plotting and helping to keep them all alive.
As we head into 'Mothers Day,' I am reminded of how precious motherhood is. It's a gift for which I am most grateful to have experienced. Our health systems made it possible for me and so many to enjoy having children safely.
This leads me to think about the amazing work Julie is doing in Nepal. If anyone is following her Facebook page you would see the progress of her new adventure. To achieve this new goal of theirs would be a great gift to so many more mothers, in a country where there has been no reduction in mortality rates from childbirth in many years. We all know how well the programme has worked in Mongolia and we also know a pure determination and hard work will achieve similar success for the team in Nepal.
Everyone have a wonderful weekend. And spoil all the Mums around you in your family. They deserve a treat.

GUEST AND VISITOR MEALS
The Board recently agreed on the following policy regarding payment for guest and visitor meals and drinks.
Prospective Club Members:
The Club will pay the cost of a meal and a drink for a prospective member on 2 occasions. The person hosting the prospective member should arrange purchase of the meal and drink - see the note regarding payment below.
Guest Speaker:
The Town and Country Club meets the meal cost for one guest speaker each week. The Chairperson should ask the bar staff to issue the meal voucher to the guest and charge the cost to the TTCC Manager’s account.
The chairperson may also buy the guest a drink and either claim reimbursement from the treasurer or charge it to our Club’s account – see below
If there's more than one Guest Speaker
If there is more than one guest speaker the club will meet the cost of the additional speaker meal(s) and drink(s). The chairperson should arrange purchase of the meal and drink - see the note regarding payment below.
Guest Speaker’s family or other accompanying persons
If the guest speaker plans to bring a support person or family member(s) the arrangements regarding meal and drink costs should be discussed with the President before a commitment to pay the additional meal and drink costs is made. If the President agrees the meal and drink costs will be paid for by the club.
Paying for guest meals
When the meals are to be paid for by the Club there are two options available for making the payment:
Get the Club’s Membership Card from the treasurer and charge the meal(s) and drink(s) to the club. Ask the cashier to record your name and the guest name on the account.
Pay for the meal(s) and drink(s) yourself, ask the cashier for a duplicate voucher, and claim reimbursement from the treasurer.
Information Required.
Remember this is "your" bulletin and so please email information to me on what your committee is doing (or planning) so everyone can be aware of it.
Lack of the above will mean the bulletin is not advising the members of what is happening in the club & particapation will be down.
