THANK YOU KING STREET MOTORS
Thanks to King Street Motors for carrying out a Warrant of Fitness inspection of the Hot Dog Caravan at no cost to the Club, and then carrying out some maintenance work, again at no cost to the Club. What great support of our efforts for the community.
Members might like to return the favour by supporting King Street Motors; you'll find them at 143 King Street.

It will be at the Landing Services Conference Centre (Above Speights Ale House) the same place as last year.
Cost is $55.00 per person - to view menu click here...
We enter from the glass door entrance at the back of Speights Ale House, that is actually the entrance to the Landing Service Building. To be clear it’s not at Speights Ale Houseit's at the Landing Services building.
We will gather from 6 pm for drinks and social time, with an official start time of 6.45 pm, mains served at 7 pm (approx. meal time).
Everyone needs to go into the Xmas notification booking system (click here...) with an RSVP either yes or no (by Sunday 6th December) -along with numbers attending if yes.
Host Duties.
When doing Host Duties (i.e. Duty Roster), please remember that you set tables, raffles etc up for the night.
Then at the end of the meeting you need to pack up again and return table numbers etc. into the box and put away.
The large sign outside door must also be packed away (this part isn't always been done).
It then falls to those leaving last.
RAFFLE PRIZES
For this Rotary year, President Jess would like members to take turns at providing the raffle prize (no alcohol please), either by buying a prize to the value of $10 to $15 (keep the receipt and ask Treasurer Jenny for reimbursement using the claims form click here...) or maybe you have a suitable prize you'd like to donate.
To make it simple to keep track of whose turn it is, the person on Host Duty 2 will be asked to provide the raffle prize for the week.
When it's your turn to provide the prize:
Please put the prize on the Host table no later than 5:30 pm.
Make sure there's a raffle sheet (from the host bin) and a pen on the table.
If you are unable to attend Rotary, and you are unable to find someone to swap, please contact Robyn Baldwin so she can arrange cover for the night.
Last Kindling Chopping Morning For 2020.
On Saturday 12th December we will be holding our last kindling chopping morning' for the year, from 9 - 12.
As many as possible attending would be appreciated (and of course there will be our normal lovely morning tea supplied).
Pictured above is our last morning held on the 5th September.
Not Received The Bulletin??
For some unexplainable reason members computers seem to decide to place the weekly bulletin in the 'Junk' ('Spam') folder of their emails from time to time - so if you do not receive the bulletin any week please check this folder (and I can almost guarantee 99% of the time you will find it there).
Each week after sending the bulletins out I check the 'Send History' in Clubrunner to verify any that get 'dropped' (not sent) and check the reason why (of the 79 odd bulletins that are sent out only between 0 & 2 are dropped).
Stephen (Editor).
Information Required.
Remember this is "your" bulletin and so please email information to me on what your committee is doing (or planning) so everyone can be aware of it.
Lack of the above will mean the bulletin is not advising the members of what is happening in the club & particapation will be down.
Stephen
Emily Smith Thank You, Card.
Our Charitable Trust contributed (in June) to assist Emily Smith to attend a 'Spirit of Adventure 10 Day Development Voyage' in September this year (and we have received a card thanking us).
Our club this year (along with the North Rotary Club, Timaru Host Lions Club, Timaru Suburbian Lions Club & Timaru Christmas Parade Trust) is again involved with organising the parade and will be asking for manpower on the day meeting at the Scottish Hall Barnard St at 10:30 am for the briefing then marshalling during the parade from approx. 1.30 pm to 3.00 pm.
If able to help with manpower contact Lynette Wilson.
