Thought for the week
If you judge people, you have no time to love them. - Mother Teresa
THANK YOU KING STREET MOTORS
Thanks to King Street Motors for carrying out a Warrant of Fitness inspection of the Hot Dog Caravan at no cost to the Club, and then carrying out some maintenance work, again at no cost to the Club. What great support of our efforts for the community.
Members might like to return the favour by supporting King Street Motors; you'll find them at 143 King Street.

President Jess's Message.
Bon Nochi (seeing as the West Indies had a win in the cricket we will go with some Creole!)
Tuesday night we were sent a lovely thank you card that read:
“ Rotary Club of Timaru. When I light my fire I’m thinking of you all. Regards, Margaret Brenssell”
Margaret was a recipient of our kindling wood, and lovely to receive a thank you card, thank you, Margaret!
Russell reported on the completion of our first completed Helping Hands project. It was to widen a footpath and ramp leading into the house of a lady who needs the assistance of a walking frame but her path wasn’t wide enough. Well done team! The wheels are in motion for the second project for some noise-cancelling headphones for a student who has learning difficulty.

When doing Host Duties (i.e. Duty Roster), please remember that you set tables, raffles etc up for the night.
Then at the end of the meeting you need to pack up again and return table numbers etc. into the box and put away.
The large sign outside door must also be packed away (this part isn't always been done).
It then falls to those leaving last.
RAFFLE PRIZES
For this Rotary year, President Jess would like members to take turns at providing the raffle prize (no alcohol please), either by buying a prize to the value of $10 to $15 (keep the receipt and ask Treasurer Jenny for reimbursement using the claims form click here...) or maybe you have a suitable prize you'd like to donate.
To make it simple to keep track of whose turn it is, the person on Host Duty 2 will be asked to provide the raffle prize for the week.
When it's your turn to provide the prize:
Please put the prize on the Host table no later than 5:30 pm.
Make sure there's a raffle sheet (from the host bin) and a pen on the table.
If you are unable to attend Rotary, and you are unable to find someone to swap, please contact Robyn Baldwin so she can arrange cover for the night.
TTCC Annual Membership Subscription Due.
Just a reminder to all club members that your 'Timaru Town & Country Club' subscription ($20.00) is due by the end of July (it appears they are not sending out any accounts).
Helping Hand Concrete Path Project.
The above is the completed path that appeared in last weeks bulletin.
Roy Carter's Passing.
Tony Brien, Timaru North Secretary, has notified of Roy Carter's death last Saturday 11th.
Roy was the last of Timaru North Charter members and was the first President (we think) of Timaru North when they Chartered and split from our club.
Roy will be remembered for his loyalty to Timaru North and he will be sadly missed.
