President Cheryl's Message
Hi everyone
Well, it’s the end of another calendar year. That went quickly. Very eventful regardless of which way you look at it.
The next few weeks promise to be hectic. We have Santa Paws on Sunday. Santa still needs some helpers for that. The hot dog van is booked for the major events and Jess does an amazing job organising that. I’m sure she also needs some extra help to fill roster spots.
And next Tuesday is our Christmas dinner and final meeting for the year. Partners and friends are welcome. See you then.
Merry Christmas
Cheryl

Community Christmas Dinner - Helpers Required For 'Pack in & Pack Out'
The Community Christmas Dinner is happening again this year, on December 25th at the Caroline Bay Hall.
Over the years there has been quite a collection of crockery, utensils, accessories etc. amassed (some of which our club has assisted with funding) and it is all stored in a container which our club uses to house some of our records etc.
If you or someone you know - friends, family - are able to volunteer a couple of hours on December 23rd and/or December 25th (following the clean-up of the dinner) to assist with moving from the container to the Bay Hall and back again, please let me know by emailing me (click here...) or phone/text (0274) 661 428.
Your help will be most appreciated.

Christmas Angels Project 2022
Huge thanks to everyone (members and honorary members) who donated to this year's family. Julie and I dropped off the presents last Friday and we had lots of warm fuzzies knowing that this family will have some gifts to open this year!! (Click here to view some photos).
We got bikes for the boys, a scooter, lego, books, teddies, chocolates, cars and trucks, pens, felts, colouring in books, Minecraft lamps, a whiteboard and pens and magnets, picnic coolly bag, ice packs, picnic crockery, picnic blanket, pamper basket and pamper pack for mum, cricket set, swing ball set, catch glove set, soccer ball, I printed off a whole lot of the WuHoo Timaru treasure hunts, colouring activities, and maps, farmers voucher for dad, prezzie cards, first aid kit items and a couple of lovingly renovated Tonka graders for the boys.
Cheers Jess
Centennial Tree Planting Project Update.
On the 6th of August this year 14 members, past members, partners & friends spent the afternoon planting 100 'Pin Oak' trees along the 'Pleasant Point Highway Cycle Track' as part of our club's 'Centennial Project' - to celebrate the club's 100 years since its inauguration in 1927 (along with another 50 donated).
As an update, Bruce has taken a photo showing their progress (to view photo larger click here...).
Moyes Trust
Moyes Trust has approved ‘Books for Babies Project’ a grant for the purchase of more books and the information stickers that go inside the book with our club details on them.
Hot Dog Van
Huge thank you to all the team of hot dog van workers for the weekend’s Rose Festival Market. After our ‘Fizz-Nami’ beginning (some of the cans froze in the fridge then exploded!) it was a great, very busy day! We had lots of positive comments and returning customers throughout the day.
Thanks to all the members and family members/friends who have stepped up since we have been back in operation in the HDV! Without all your volunteered time we wouldn’t be able to operate. I look forward to getting some more dates and events in our calendar for next year so we can keep the funds rolling in for the Charitable Trust!
Many thanks
Jess
Information Required
Remember this is "your" bulletin and so please email information to me on what your committee is doing (or planning) so everyone can be aware of it.
Lack of the above will mean the bulletin is not advising the members of what is happening in the club & particapation will be down.
