President Andrea's Message .
As I sit in the window at work watching the world go by, I'm reminded of the weeks of holiday I managed to fit in. What a wonderful relaxing time. Filled with lots of fun and laughter and more importantly for me , sleep.
The new year will bring much for us as a club. We have a year to be filled with lots if fun and fellowship. We need to find those projects to support and enhance our community.
So here is my challenge to you,
Can everyone think hard, look around you. What can we as a group do to help others.
If everyone can come up with an idea I'm sure will find that special project to get behind.
I look forward to meeting you all again next week and to hear your Xmas adventures.

TTCC Members Christmas Giving Tree.
Robin Peterson at last Tuesdays tea meeting mentioned about the "Timaru Town & Country Clubs Members Christmas Giving Tree" which is sitting outside the room in which we hold our meetings.
For those who wish to put something under the tree at this weeks meeting I have the following information.

Club night. Members give their ideas/suggestions to the Committees for their programmes for the year ahead.
January/February Tea Meetings.
January 29 2019 – Club night. Members give their ideas/suggestions to the Committees for their programmes for the year ahead.
February 5 2019 – Club committees dine together and work out a programme for the year.
February 12 2019 – Club Chairs present their programme to the Board. Our Board Meeting follows on from Club meeting.
Thank You Stafford Personnel
Carol Newman from Stafford Personnel on Beswick Street, kindly donated 10 new vests to NRG to keep us safe and seen whilst we are out in the community. A bonus too as we got them in time for our Christmas Parade duties! Thanks very much Stafford Personnel.
Welcome Emma
The following is Lynette's introduction just before Emma's induction:-
Emma Woodings moved to Timaru earlier this year to commence work as a Lawyer at Aoraki Legal, has since taken leave and travelled to Europe, where she became engaged.
On her return, Emma purchased a house with her partner Andrew and now is joining us as a member of the Rotary club of Timaru.
Emma comes from a family with strong involvement in Rotary, with her Mother, Sharon, currently a member of Christchurch Sunrise Club in Christchurch, and a past Assistant Governor of District 9970.
With her induction at Tuesdays tea meeting we welcome Emma Woodings (and look forward to many good times both working & social).
Club Runner Update.
There appears to have been a recent update to the Club Runner (CR) app, which has the effect of disabling the ability of some members to direct dial numbers listed in the Club Members Directory.
This could be occurring if your mobile phone does not automatically update.
A quick solution is to delete the CR app from your mobile phone and then re install it.

Duty Roster Attendance.
It is important (as noted under the "Duty Roster" on the left) that if your name is listed that you organise for someone to do your duty on the night (if you are not attending on the night or you are to be late) as often it is falling to members who are there early in the evening to do the duties (otherwise they are being done later on before the meeting - when those on duty have no appeared). By clicking on the link (under 'Duties Roster") it is possible to see the "full" list showing when you are due to be on well in advance to give you plenty of time to organise (swap) with someone.
Rotarians & NRG Assisting At The Xmas Parade
Last Saturday at the annual Xmas Parade we & NRG were assisting along with Timaru North Rotary, Timaru Host and Timaru Suburban Lions.
Below Lyn is leading Santa astray??, Tony keeping a road closed, Tony & Jess keeping another road closed, Andrea with her one eyed friend, Ashley & Evelyn in their vintage car, Kelsie (in green vest, as part of parade organizing committee) & Andrea, Lionel & Jess (by our flag) outside parade HQ (Scottish Hall) & finally the man of the moment in red.
Hot Dog Caravan At Night Market & Rose Festival.
Last weekend was a busy time for many of us as also the Hot Dog Caravan was working at the Bay on Saturday afternoon after the parade, Night Market in the evening & Rose Festival on Sunday. A big thank you must be made to all who assisted with sales at $4068.50.
