Thought for the week

You can't fall if you don't climb. But there's no joy in living your whole life on the ground.

THANK YOU KING STREET MOTORS

Thanks to King Street Motors for carrying out a Warrant of Fitness inspection of the Hot Dog Caravan at no cost to the Club, and then carrying out some maintenance work, again at no cost to the Club.  What great support of our efforts for the community.

Members might like to return the favour by supporting King Street Motors; you'll find them at 143 King Street.

Thank You
Major sponsor of the
Rotary Club of Timaru
Hot Dog Caravan

President Andrea's Message.

Its always good to see the recipients of our donations.

The wheelchair given to the M.S. Society will be a fantastic asset that will assist their members tremendously. It's a three month wait for a custom made wheelchair after they have been diagnosed as needing one.

The Parkinson Society's money will be used to keep the exercise classes going. To hear the benefits we take for granted, turning over in bed, getting up out of a chair, the day to day movements we do not even think about.

The Cancer Society's new shelving system allows the staff to access the information and the resources needed for the clients; it will make their job easier and more efficient. The new chairs and table in the reception area look lovely. A nice place to sit and rest while waiting.
Sometimes it's those simple things that matter the most to people.

To hear how much Craig got out of his trip on the Spirt of Adventure was truly amazing. To connect with other adults going through the same journey and to do what would have seemed to be the impossible (climbing up the masts) will give Craig the inspiration and confidence to make a difference in other lives.

We can be proud of all we do in the community.

Have a great weekend.

WHERE'S THE MONEY COME FROM ...
... AND GO TO?
Here's a rough summary showing where our Club income comes from, and what we spend it on. This is about Club funds only, not Charitable Trust funds, and covers the period 1 May 2018 to now. (The Club's financial year is 1 May to 30 April).
