President Andrea's Message.

Great article in the Courier this week. This article really portrays real Rotarians. Tony and his team are putting in many selfless hours chopping and bagging wood so those less fortunate can be warm this winter. Also working with other organizations to ensure those most in need will benefit.
Thank you for all your hard work Team.

Ben Neckland and Jeff Powley from the Peel Forest Eco Lodge gave us a great talk on Tuesday night. It's good to see the amazing things they are achieving in Peel Forest. The people they are reaching and the results they achieve is wonderful.
Let's hope they can complete the Eco Lodge and reach even more people.

Don't forget the Hot Dog Caravan 'Needs You'. Please look at the roster see what you can do. This end of the rugby season is great to jump on in there and learn. Its quieter and you get more time to get to know your fellow Rotarians better.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Tasmanian Exchange Asado Dinner 1st May (Harvest, Waimate)

We have received the following invite from Waimate Club:-

Hey Everyone
We've finally managed to confirm our clubs' numbers for our Asado dinner, so can officially put out the invite to other clubs.
We have up to 30 spaces available for any members and partners who would like to join us for our club night. The meeting will start from 5.30pm, with Argentinean BBQ'd lamb, chicken,  and some very delicious sides (meal after 6.30pm). The cost is $30 per person, and the venue is Harvest Bar and Kitchen, Point Bush Rd, Waimate.
It would be great to see a good mix from other clubs, so let me know if anyone is keen. I'll take names on a first in first served basis.
To confirm attendees please either email ryan.luckman@gmail.com or text/ph me on 0274052772

Any questions sing out.

Cheers

GUEST AND VISITOR MEALS

The Board recently agreed on the following policy regarding payment for guest and visitor meals and drinks.

Prospective Club Members:
The Club will pay the cost of a meal and a drink for a prospective member on 2 occasions. The person hosting the prospective member should arrange purchase of the meal and drink - see the note regarding payment below.
Guest Speaker:
The Town and Country Club meets the meal cost for one guest speaker each week.  The Chairperson should ask the bar staff to issue the meal voucher to the guest and charge the cost to the TTCC Manager’s account.
The chairperson may also buy the guest a drink and either claim reimbursement from the treasurer or charge it to our Club’s account – see below
If there's more than one Guest Speaker
If there is more than one guest speaker the club will meet the cost of the additional speaker meal(s) and drink(s). The chairperson should arrange purchase of the meal and drink - see the note regarding payment below.
Guest Speaker’s family or other accompanying persons
If the guest speaker plans to bring a support person or family member(s) the arrangements regarding meal and drink costs should be discussed with the President before a commitment to pay the additional meal and drink costs is made.  If the President agrees the meal and drink costs will be paid for by the club.
Paying for guest meals
When the meals are to be paid for by the Club there are two options available for making the payment:
Get the Club’s Membership Card from the treasurer and charge the meal(s) and drink(s) to the club. Ask the cashier to record your name and the guest name on the account.
Pay for the meal(s) and drink(s) yourself, ask the cashier for a duplicate voucher, and claim reimbursement from the treasurer.

Information Required.

Remember this is "your" bulletin and so please email information to me on what your committee is doing (or planning) so everyone can be aware of it.
Lack of the above will mean the bulletin is not advising the members of what is happening in the club & particapation will be down.

A Riddle To Solve.

The answer to the last riddle:-

Yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

The word "what" is spelled with four letters (w, h, a, and t). The word "sometimes" is spelled with 9 letters (s,o,m,e,t,i,m,e, and s) etc.

Thinking caps on again and try to solve this weeks riddle:-

There’s a one-story house where everything inside is pink: pink walls, pink doors, pink floors, pink ceilings, pink windows, pink curtains, pink chairs, and pink tables. What color are the stairs?
