President Bev's Message.

Greetings,

The winter has found us. It had to come eventually and my hope is that these cooler temperatures stay around for June and July to get some sense of normality back.
Over the last 2 days I have been working on the positives of Lockdown in Level 4 – the roads and streets full of walkers and cyclists saying their friendly hellos, the calls to neighbours and those further afield, completing a Wasgij jigsaw, reading a novel through the day time and generally making do, but also looking out for each other. We have achieved so much, lets hope that the more stringent contingencies dealing with managed and self-isolation procedures result in a better deal for us all.

Next week we hear from Dhruval Shah and Josh Earnshaw both from TBHS, who will speak of their time at the Rotary National Science and Technology Forum at Auckland University, January 2020
Over the years we have had a plethora of talented young men and women address the Club about this programme and introduce us to the different scientific fields. I look forward to hearing from them. Next month the applications for the 2021 year will be made available on line, hopefully another student[s] will be sent on this exciting journey.

Reminders; Jess has a team meeting following the Club meeting next week.

Check out Changeover details.

Stay safe, stay calm and be kind.

Enjoy your weekend

Bev.
