President Peter's Message

Guest Speaker Jon Bird. Safety and Risk Advisor for Alpine Energy.
Members enjoyed an excellent evening listening to Jon's various exploits which included Alpine Energy's community budget, working at R.A F Cosford in the UK which has a special room  reserved for Her Majesty the Queen. After the excitement of working with the Saudi Arabian Air Force during the  first Gulf War he decided to move to the quiet of New Zealand. He also spoke  about Alpine Energy's biggest safety problem which are cars, trucks and tractors colliding with power poles. He very kindly told us that a head on collision was the safest option! The many questions he took during and after the meeting attested to his popularity.

The Chores Of Being A Sergeant.

This photo shows the supreme sacrifice the sergeant has to make to perform his honorist duty.
While out chopping kindling in the bright sunshine he had to stop, watch and record fines (rather than continue with the job he really wanted to do).

Rotary Tee Shirts.

Reminder: To order a Rotary T-shirt, notify Lynette Wilson with the size you require.
Any questions? Don’t hesitate to give Lynette a call.
