Thought for the week
Too often we enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought. - John F. Kennedy

Thanks to King Street Motors for carrying out a Warrant of Fitness inspection of the Hot Dog Caravan at no cost to the Club, and then carrying out some maintenance work, again at no cost to the Club.  What great support of our efforts for the community.
Members might like to return the favour by supporting King Street Motors; you'll find them at 143 King Street.

Thank You

President Hugh's Message.

Squeak Screech (Hello in Bat)

Covid Level 4. It seems Bats may have something to do with the restrictions we face. It is, therefore, appropriate to greet you in their language, but they are instructing legal counsel to establish their innocence. Should you have been out near their habitat at night, you may have heard them chattering among themselves, about this allegation, as they fly above at night. I hope the restrictions are not driving you batty and that you are all safe and well.

This Week's Meeting
Tuesday 31st August 2021
Under Covid Levels 4 & 3 we cannot hold tea meetings (so there will be a Zoom meeting tonight - Lionel to email information).

Colin Taylor Health Update.
Anne Carnie has been speaking to Colin (who is still in isolation at Strathallan) he is still suffering from the cough (but is improving), has plenty of phone calls & is looking forward to coming out of lockdown.

Information Required.
Remember this is "your" bulletin and so please email information to me on what your committee is doing (or planning) so everyone can be aware of it.
Lack of the above will mean the bulletin is not advising the members of what is happening in the club & particapation will be down.

Editors Humour.
  1. After years of wanting to thoroughly clean my house but lacking the time, this week I discovered that wasn’t the reason.
  2. If I keep stress-eating at this level, the buttons on my shirt will start socially distancing from each other.
  3. Every few days try your jeans on just to make sure they fit. Pyjamas will have you believe all is well in the kingdom.
  4. Yesterday I ran out of soap and body wash and all I could find was dish detergent. Then it Dawned on me.
  5. Being quarantined with a talkative child is like having an insane parrot glued to your shoulder
