Well, what a day on the Hotdog van. I’m sure it’s nearly a record, certainly felt like it. A big thanks to Jenny who had to bring in more supplies. Also thanks to John, Jess, Lynette and Tracey who worked hard to feed a very hungry crowd.
I was so pleased to see so much Pink at the change over.  Thank you for that. Also those awards, 4!, that’s an amazing effort, and just proves how well you are all working and the effort you are putting into making this the best Rotary Club in the district.
What’s in store for 2026/27. Remember those 5 questions I asked you to think about (Don’t worry they are here).
  • How do we keep the momentum going?
  • What is needed in our community?
  • Who do we help?
  • What more can we do?
  • Can we do more?
Think about these questions bring some thoughts along on Tuesday night. Let’s begin thinking about what we are going to do.
I’m looking forward to the discussion.

See you all Tuesday.

Andrea Lord - Club President

RYDA

Thanks to your club for your amazing continued support of Ryda this year.  We love working with your club and the students in South Canterbury are very lucky.  The venue worked really well and having both Police and FENZ at the workshops gives the students more insights in to how crashes affect so many in the community.

Also I wanted to say thank you to Robin, Bev, Margaret, Ralph, Lionel and Lynette for giving up your day to volunteer again.  I hope the newcomers to Ryda enjoyed the day.

Attached is our Supporter Report from the Ryda workshops which details student numbers and feedback from students and teachers.

I look forward to working with you next year and will be in touch with dates for 2027 when confirmed.

Regards
Liona
