President Bev's Message.
Greetings,
My thoughts go out to those of you cleaning up and dealing with insurance claims after the dreadful hailstorm yesterday. It is not easy coping with the debris, loss of crop and property damage after a weather event.
'The Wealthy Body in Business' delivered by Tim Bean was an enlightening presentation. Tim and his wife own the Performance Health Club in Heaton Street. He said that our lifestyles are starting to take us over, due to technology and not enough activity. He strongly urged us to move our legs, shut our mouths and eat less than figure out how to stay in the best shape possible for the rest of our lives.
For the next 2 weekends, the Club members will be doing just that - with the Garage Sale, Saturday 23 November and all the prep work surrounding that event. The HDV will be on-site at the Rose Festival Market on 30 November and 1 December, we also are providing manpower for the combined Rotary/NRG and Lions Timaru Christmas Parade on December 1.
I appreciate and thank you for putting your hand up to help with these coming events.
Take care,
Bev.
