THANK YOU KING STREET MOTORS

Thanks to King Street Motors for carrying out a Warrant of Fitness inspection of the Hot Dog Caravan at no cost to the Club, and then carrying out some maintenance work, again at no cost to the Club.  What great support of our efforts for the community.

President Andrea's Message.

Cheryl Rose has had a really interesting career. Dotted with life-changing and real intrinsic moments of achievement.
Her talked on Tuesday was inspirational. We are lucky to have met her and have her in our club. Thank you, Cheryl, for telling us about yourself.

Julie Dockrill is headed off to Nepal on the Nepalese Maternal/Child Project. The work her and the team joining her has already been a huge effort. I'm sure you are all with me in wishing her success. We already know they can do great things in improving and saving the lives of Mothers and Babies.

The Helping Hands project is another great project for Timaru. I am looking forward to seeing what the community feels is a need for them. Also how they feel we can help them. Remember this is just not a hand out of money, but also of knowledge and hands-on helping. Thank you to Russell Finally for taking on the Chairperson of this exciting new project. Also to John Barton for all the time he has put into it already.

Right, I'm off to buy an Easter Egg for my Grandchild. Have fun with your family this Easter.
P.s. there is no weigh in after Easter. That's just cruel.

Dunedin 19th May.

Members who are becoming 2019-20 directors and/or club officers will find the District 9980 'Rotary Know How' day very helpful, and well worth attending. The day is held in Dunedin at Logan Park High School on Sunday 19th May.  Support incoming President Bev by putting this date in your calendar, and joining the team for the day.

A Riddle To Solve.

The answer to the last riddle:-

He throws the ball straight up in the air!

The word "what" is spelled with four letters (w, h, a, and t). The word "sometimes" is spelled with 9 letters (s,o,m,e,t,i,m,e, and s) etc.
