Thought for the week

There are people who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and people who wonder what happened.

THANK YOU KING STREET MOTORS

Thanks to King Street Motors for carrying out a Warrant of Fitness inspection of the Hot Dog Caravan at no cost to the Club, and then carrying out some maintenance work, again at no cost to the Club.  What great support of our efforts for the community.

President Andrea's Message.

My year is nearly over. How quickly it has gone.

Writing the AGM report was really hard. How to remember all we have done. It's not easy, we are a really busy vibrant club. Filled with very active Rotarians. If I've missed anything I'm sorry.

Our shrinking coastline - wasn't it interesting to hear how it is happening. The causes and the effects. The moving gravel and how the waves and the weather cause a massive change in a very short time.  I'll treasure my beach walks even more now.

Just a short note from me tonight. The next one is a biggie.

Have a wonderful weekend.
See you all at the AGM.

District Water Bottle Fundraiser for E-club of WASH

The following email has been received from our District 9980 Governor-Elect Tania Lowery:-

This is to follow up on the presentation made last weekend at our Know How Day regarding the water bottle fundraiser that is being lead by Deb Budden of the Wanaka Rotary Club for our fellow club the E-Club of WASH.
Being able to help out the E-Club in this way is a great opportunity for your club and its members to contribute to an overseas project that will benefit school children, improving their health and their ability to attend school and learn.  Our E-Club is unique in our District, and due to their widespread membership, it can be pretty challenging to raise funds for the projects that they want to pursue.  Let's show them how great we all are at chipping in, as we all know if everyone gives a bit it all adds up to a lot!
