THANK YOU KING STREET MOTORS
Thanks to King Street Motors for carrying out a Warrant of Fitness inspection of the Hot Dog Caravan at no cost to the Club, and then carrying out some maintenance work, again at no cost to the Club. What great support of our efforts for the community.

President Jess's Message.
Ciao a tutti (Italian hello everyone)
This week we tested out the TTCC's wifi connection and "Zoomed" around the world with past GSE members from 2009/10, Lionel's DG counterpart from Birmingham, and some members of the RC of Wylde Green. The call was a great success!
We were able to hear from both the NZ and the English team members about their experiences and the fond memories they all had of their trips (view some photos of their visit...). John and Carolyn from RC Wyle Green spoke about their club and projects they are involved in, how they are getting along with COVID and how it has affected the way they operate. It was such a nice way to reconnect with old friends and it's something we will look into doing again soon.
Followed by a Charitable Trust Board meeting at Lynette & Lionel's (166B North St).
Members are reminded to put in an apology for the meeting by noon on Monday (otherwise they are liable to be charged) - click on the following link to apologise:-

When doing Host Duties (i.e. Duty Roster), please remember that you set tables, raffles etc up for the night.
Then at the end of the meeting you need to pack up again and return table numbers etc. into the box and put away.
The large sign outside door must also be packed away (this part isn't always been done).
It then falls to those leaving last.
RAFFLE PRIZES
For this Rotary year, President Jess would like members to take turns at providing the raffle prize (no alcohol please), either by buying a prize to the value of $10 to $15 (keep the receipt and ask Treasurer Jenny for reimbursement using the claims form click here...) or maybe you have a suitable prize you'd like to donate.
To make it simple to keep track of whose turn it is, the person on Host Duty 2 will be asked to provide the raffle prize for the week.
When it's your turn to provide the prize:
Please put the prize on the Host table no later than 5:30 pm.
Make sure there's a raffle sheet (from the host bin) and a pen on the table.
If you are unable to attend Rotary, and you are unable to find someone to swap, please contact Robyn Baldwin so she can arrange cover for the night.
Information Required.
Remember this is "your" bulletin and so please email information to me on what your committee is doing (or planning) so everyone can be aware of it.
Lack of the above will mean the bulletin is not advising the members of what is happening in the club & particapation will be down.

This year, COVID has made planning and running the annual Polio Movie Event much more challenging than usual! There will be issues in some locations but, with appropriate measures, such as masks, sanitiser and sensible seating arrangements, it is possible for events to go ahead in most areas.
This year’s movie is I Am Woman. It’s the story of Australian singer/songwriter, Helen Reddy, who shot to global stardom in the seventies. While set in the US, the movie is a local production. Tilda Cobham-Hervey is sensational in the lead role.
Helen Reddy passed away on Tuesday, 29th September in Los Angeles from Dementia.

Editors Humour.
On a beautiful summer’s day, two tourists were driving through Wales.
At Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyllllanttysiogogogoch they stopped for lunch. One of the tourists asked the waitress “Before we order, I wonder if you could settle an argument for us,
“Can you pronounce where we are very, very, very slowly”
The girl leaned over and said
BURR……………GURR……………..KING
(Note: There really is a place called this in Wales, locally referred to as Llanfair PG).
