President Bev's Message.

Greetings,

Geoff Cloake delivered an excellent presentation on New Zealand titled, "At the End of the Road".
It was a New Zealand at the time of his developing interest in photography. He had photographs of clusters of cribs/baches with their mismatched window frames and peeling paint, churches in the middle of nowhere, rarely holding a service. With his acute observation skills, the landscape scenes were outstanding.
He explained that the combination of images makes photographs interesting, e.g. the clouds, the light, the silvered tree stump, the gently curving road climbing up into the hills ahead of you.
We were also shown some beautiful shots of our native flora and fauna, and beach scenes with various concretions.

I'm, looking forward to Damien Bromwich from Geraldine speaking on another local feature- the long-tailed bat.

Enjoy your weekend.

Bev.

District Governor's Message

Tania's message is 20 minutes long and will be played at our club meetings in segments over three meeting nights as time allows.
For those who missed the first and may miss future segments please click here... to access the entire video.

Membership.

At the 'Membership & Social Committee' meeting it was highlighted that (in an attempt to introduce potential members to Rotary) all members should be looking at upcoming speakers to see if any of them would be of interest to someone they know (and if so) invite them along to hear that speaker.
