President Bev's Message.

Greetings,

Our thoughts go out to those Rotarians, their families and communities affected by the severe flooding in the Fiordland, Southland and South Otago districts. We wish you strength as you deal with this nightmare.

We have a busy 5 months ahead after Keith, Peter, Shaun, Tony and Russell presented an outline of their committee’s schedule for the coming months. I am very appreciative of your time and effort that goes into the planning and preparation prior to the delivery of these events or projects. Russell gave an update on the ‘Helping Hands’ committee. The information folders are being distributed to the Social agencies within Timaru.
We viewed Part 1 of the Re-Districting Video presented by our DG Tania and DG Murray from 9970. Part 2 will be next week. This information was circulated with the November 2019 DG Newsletter.

This Week's Meeting
Tuesday 11th February 2020
Jess, Tony & Keryn Ward will speak about their 'Project Starfish' volunteering they did late last year.

Followed by a Director's meeting for the 'Board of the Rotary Club of Timaru'.

Next Meeting
Tuesday 18th February 2020
Liz Gregory will speak to us on "A Glimpse Into The Real Gloriavale"

PARTNERS ARE INVITED
Liz Gregory and a Gloriavale leaver will be our guests and give a glimpse into the real Gloriavale and what a Gloriavale leaver faces when entering a new community on the outside.
Liz will also give us an insight into the hurdles leavers face and work their Trust does in helping them transition into our community.

A "Yes" For Jess.
Jess is working hard on the formation of her committees for 2020-2021.
If Jess approaches you for a role and you think it is out of your comfort zone, I urge you to think quietly on the matter and consider who, in our Club, would you go to for help/suggestions in this role. We have a wealth of knowledge in our Club and one of the nicest things is being asked to share it.

You are doing well Jess.

Thanks, Bev.
