President Cheryl's Message
Hi everyone
Great talk last week from Richard at Aoraki Foundation. They provide an amazing service managing their own and other organisation trusts. Not an easy job.
This week we have our dinner and chat night. Don’t forget to volunteer to help organise one of our social events. The list is at the welcome desk. And don’t forget the week after is Anzac Day so no meeting.
Yours aye

Rotary In The South - Centennial Celebrations
Members have been invited to attend the following:-
2023 marks the centennial of Rotary in the south! To mark this milestone, the Rotary Club of Dunedin is organising a Centennial Dinner on Saturday 29th April, with special guests Sir Anand and Lady Susan Satyanand (a former Governor General and enthusiastic Rotarian).
Information about the dinner has been included in the Friday admin emails over the past two weeks - also click here... for more information
The important thing is that members of all of the clubs in the District, and particularly in the south, are invited to come and share in this important milestone -  a chance to acknowledge and celebrate all of the contributions that Rotary has made in our region over the past 100 years.
We need to finalise numbers with the caterer very soon, so if you or any of your members are able to come, please let us know by 15th April - click here... to email your attendance
It will be a great night - I hope you can join us!

Wishing Well Income
I emptied our 'Rotary Wishing Well' last week & the takings this year were the best result for a number of years!

SCDL - Captain Cain
The Little Theatre's latest show ('Captain Cain') is the story of Timaru's early years (to view more information click here...).
Captain Cain, whose statue sits outside the Landing Services building, is fondly known as 'the father of Timaru'. Extensive research over the last 20 years has enabled Carol Angland to dramatise the early years of European settlement in South Canterbury.
I am organising for us to attend on Tuesday 23rd May @ 7:30 pm (which is one of our meeting nights with no guest speaker) f you would like to attend, please email me ASAP by clicking here... - so I can block-book our tickets.
Tickets are $20 each if we can get 20 seats sold.
This may be a popular show (as written by a local & about a subject close to the hearts of many), please reply promptly so we don't miss out.

Information Required
Remember this is "your" bulletin and so please email information to me on what your committee is doing (or planning) so everyone can be aware of it.
Lack of the above will mean the bulletin is not advising the members of what is happening in the club & particapation will be down.

Editors Humour
At the Electric Company:

"We would be delighted if you send in your payment on time. However, if you don't, YOU will be de-lighted."

In the front yard of a Funeral Home:

"Drive carefully. We'll wait."

In a Chicago Radiator Shop:

"Best place in town to take a leak".

Sign on the back of a Septic Tank Truck:

"Caution - this truck is full of Political Promises."

Husband's Call:

"Honey it's me. I don't want to alarm you but I was hit by a car as I was leaving the office. Paula brought me to the hospital.  They have checked me over and done some tests and some X-rays. The blow to my head was severe. Fortunately, it did not cause any serious internal injury. However I have three broken ribs, a compound fracture in the left leg, and they think they may have to amputate my right foot."

Wife's Response: "And just who is Paula?”
