President Hugh's Message.

WOOSH! (Hello from the Wind)

The wind paid a visit to us on Thursday evening, like many others in this district. Not much sleep a lot of bumps, bangs and Wheelie Bin contents flying about. (Friday is wheelie bin day in Gleniti).

Woke up early on Friday to a lovely surprise! One of those wooshes brought down the fence between our back and front yards not to mention crashing our new but unused BBQ down the concrete steps and smashing the knobs. I have heard of quite a lot of damage but mainly in country areas. Couldn’t see any other fences down on my way to work. Hopefully, no other members suffered damage like this!

All members should have received an email from DG Nick Woods Monday 6th September re the above.
For more information refer to the item in our 10th August Bulletin.

President Hugh has suggested the following:-

Perhaps our Club could get a volunteer to grow and then we all take a card to obtain sponsorship on a 'per kg' and complete it as a club project rather than on an individual basis?

Information Required.

Remember this is "your" bulletin and so please email information to me on what your committee is doing (or planning) so everyone can be aware of it.
Lack of the above will mean the bulletin is not advising the members of what is happening in the club & particapation will be down.

Covid

  1. Why do they call it the novel coronavirus? It’s a long story….
  2. You Know what they’re saying about 2020. It went viral faster than anyone thought it would.
  3. What’s the best way to avoid touching your face? A glass of wine in each hand.
  4. If coronavirus isn’t about beer, why do I keep seeing cases of it?
  5. What's the difference between COVID-19 and Romeo and Juliet? One’s the coronavirus and the other is a Verona crisis.
  6. What do you call panic-buying of sausage and cheese in Germany? The wurst-kase scenario.
  7. Nail salons, hair salons, waxing centres and tanning places are closed. It’s about to get ugly out there.
  8. Why don’t chefs find coronavirus jokes funny? They’re in bad taste.
  9. Why should you do if you don’t understand a coronavirus joke? Be patient.
  10. The grocery stores in France look like tornadoes hit them. All that’s left is de brie.
