President Cheryl's Message

Hi everyone

Thank you to Nicky Donkers who presented us with her perception of where Rotary should be heading and her thoughts on how to get there. She certainly gave us a lot to think about. This week we have our AGM. It will be fairly brief. We have some vacancies on the Board. If you have someone in mind to fill the spot please let Lionel know so the nominations committee can consider them. We will make use of the rest of the evening to discuss your thoughts from the previous week's speaker.

Only two more meetings left for the year. Our Christmas Party at the Club is fancy dress. Make sure you advise of your attendance and any guests coming with you. For a lot of our members, it’s been a tough year. This will be the time to let our hair down and celebrate getting through it and/or taking with us the warm thoughts of what was good about the year.

See you Tuesday. I’m looking forward to your ideas and thoughts.

Yours aye
Cheryl

Duty Roster Changes

With the resignation of Chris Connor as Sergeant, the Duty Roster has been changed, and for the remainder of the Rotary year Sergeant has been added (with members being rostered on to being Sergeant).
To accommodate the additional duty type it has been necessary to re-do the roster, please, therefore, recheck the roster (if you have previously checked it and made decisions based on it).

Santa Paws Helpers

Helpers are needed for Santa Paws Sunday 11th at the Park Centre, Botanic Gardens, please. Ideally, we need 3 helpers morning and afternoon. It doesn’t need to include handling the pets - they have owners to do that!! It will be a fun day, lunch provided. If we book out it will provide huge profile exposure for Rotary. Let me know on Tuesday if you or someone you know can help. Or phone me. We have two Santa’s and two photographers who are not members of Rotary helping already.

Let’s all get into the Christmas spirit in a way we’ve never done it before.

Regards
Cheryl

Community Christmas Dinner - Helpers Required For 'Pack in & Pack Out'

The Community Christmas Dinner is happening again this year, on December 25th at the Caroline Bay Hall.

Over the years there has been quite a collection of crockery, utensils, accessories etc. amassed (some of which our club has assisted with funding) and it is all stored in a container which our club uses to house some of our records etc.

If you or someone you know - friends, family - are able to volunteer a couple of hours on December 23rd and/or December 25th (following the clean-up of the dinner) to assist with moving from the container to the Bay Hall and back again, please let me know by emailing me (click here...) or phone/text (0274) 661 428.

Your help will be most appreciated.

Information Required

Remember this is "your" bulletin and so please email information to me on what your committee is doing (or planning) so everyone can be aware of it.
Lack of the above will mean the bulletin is not advising the members of what is happening in the club & particapation will be down.
