President Cheryl's Message

Hi everyone

Thanks so much for an enthusiastic and really positive idea-generating evening last Tuesday. If you weren’t there we will be circulating summaries of each of the committees to encourage further thought and feedback.

I trust that the families and friends of our members in the North Island, are all safe and well. It’s a scary time and I almost feel guilty being down at this end of the country basking in the sunshine.

Next week's speaker Chris Thomas is speaking on 'Age Concern' and services in SC. I’ve told my nephews that I want to go to a residential care facility with happy hour, lots of excursions and a Michelin-star chef in the galley. I wonder if Chris knows of such a place? Don’t forget, when he is visiting, to compliment him on the quality of the Drama League productions. He’s also the Chairperson of the League.

See you next Tuesday
Yours aye
Cheryl

Did you hear about the crook who stole a calendar? He got twelve months.

Q. What's the difference between ignorance and apathy?
A. I don’t know and I don’t care.

Never criticize someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, they won't be able to hear you from that far away. Plus, you'll have their shoes.

The world tongue-twister champion just got arrested. I hear they're gonna give him a really tough sentence.
