This Month (April) was amazing! We finally had the north island tour and I loved every minute of it.

The beginning of the month was a little bit boring everyone was getting tired of school and we all just wanted to have our holidays. One weekend I watched my host brother's first rugby game and later watched rugby again with my friend. On Sunday I played soccer, unfortunately we lost.

The next weekend Sophie finally came up from Cromwell. She had the pleasure to watch me playing soccer again and we lost again. It was fun with her and we just prepared for the north Island. I showed her the beautiful Timaru.

On Tuesday time had come finally here to go! We had such a long travel day, we took the bus and then the plane to Wellington. We met Fenna at Christchurch airport and another Austrian girl that went with us on tour. I was pretty nervous to meet all the others but it turned out really good. I found amazing friends over these ten days. We were about 40 students and 20 Germans , of course. And even four Austrian, I was quite surprised. The Germans were pretty boring they only talked German to each other. Anyways I was interesting to see the difference between the north and south island. I loved the north of the island. My highlight was definitely Cape Reinga and the Maori Village in Rotorua. I found it amazing how you could see the two oceans Austria Inbound colliding at Cape Reinga. Also the sandboarding there was fantastic. In Rotorua we went to a Maori Village for a night. I love to learn more about their culture and to try the traditional Hangi. It was delicious. I was quite disappointed with Auckland, it didn't have any character for me. In Taupo I did skydiving! It was the best experience ever, I was the first one jumping out of the plane. But I reckon bungee jumping was scarier. In Rotorua we also did Zorbing. So this trip was full of action. It was so sad saying good bye to all of them. I miss them a lot and the beautiful days on the North Island. Thank you Rotary for organising it!

I landed in Christchurch and stayed with my host family there for the weekend. We were there for my host brother to watch his rugby again as he is playing for Christ College. Then on Sunday it was time for me to change host family. I was sad but at the same time excited. The new family is amazing I have to host siblings. A brother and a sister, it is so good to have once a sister again. She is really cute, like my little sister already. They are very religious, so I will now go every Sunday to church. I am looking forward to this Month and the Conference.

You will hear from me next month.
